I recently stayed at Kipps Brighton and my experience was quite mixed. While the location is fantastic—just minutes from the beach and various attractions—the cleanliness and comfort left a lot to be desired. My room had issues with cleanliness, the shower was filthy, and the shared toilet had a strong odor. I did appreciate the friendly staff and the social atmosphere, but overall, there were significant drawbacks to my stay.

Rooms
5.0
The room I stayed in was not well-maintained, with a noticeable odor and dirty shower. The presented double bed turned out to be two single mattresses pushed together, which was uncomfortable.
Service
5.0
The staff were friendly and responsive, which was a plus during my stay. However, attempts to address my concerns with management went unanswered, which was disappointing.
Location
5.0
The location is undeniably one of the best features, being so close to the Brighton Pier and various attractions. It offers easy access for sightseeing and late-night outings.
Dining
5.0
I didn’t have any meals there, but the overall dining options seemed limited, especially for a longer stay.
Facilities
5.0
The facilities were lacking, particularly with shared restrooms that were not well-kept. Additionally, the lack of lockers for securing belongings was a downside.

I enjoyed my stay at Kipps Brighton. the location was fantastic and just a short walk from the city center and the beach. however, the noise from the street was quite noticeable at times, especially at night.

I found the room spacious and clean, equipped with a pleasant shower. though I did notice that sharing the bathroom facilities with other guests could be a bit challenging.
Service

The staff were welcoming and helpful, making check-in and check-out processes smooth. they also provided earplugs to combat the street noise, which was a thoughtful touch.
Location

The location is ideal for exploring Brighton. with the Royal Pavilion and various bars and restaurants just a stone's throw away, making it easy to navigate the city.
Dining
7.0
While the kitchen was closed during my visit, I appreciated the complimentary tea and biscuits. I believe breakfast options were available on usual days.
Facilities

The hostel features a cozy lounge and outdoor patio. although I found the shared toilets could use more attention from fellow guests.

I had a mixed experience at Kipps Brighton. The location was fantastic—just a short walk to the pier and other attractions. However, the room had an unpleasant smell and the shared facilities were quite dirty. The lack of lockers for my stuff after check-out was also a hassle and the bathroom was cramped. It’s decent if you just need a place to crash, but it fell short in areas that would make it truly enjoyable.

Rooms
5.0
The room was clean but had a dusty smell, making it less inviting. There were no lockers for my belongings before check-in or after check-out, which was disappointing.
Service
5.0
While the staff responded promptly to my questions, the contactless check-in process was a bit frustrating at first. I struggled with the keysafe system.
Location

The hostel is super close to the Brighton Pier and the Royal Pavilion, which was a huge plus for my stay. It’s in a vibrant area with plenty of bars and restaurants nearby.
Dining
5.0
Breakfast was okay, nothing special, and I would have liked a small bottle of water in the room, especially since I booked a private double room.
Facilities
5.0
The facilities could use some improvement as the communal bathrooms didn’t meet cleanliness standards. It felt cramped and not well-kept.

I had mixed feelings about my stay at Kipps Brighton. The location is fantastic, just a short walk from the beach and various bars and restaurants. However, I faced issues with the room not having a toilet, and cleaning standards could be improved as the room had a dusty smell. The staff were friendly, though I didn't see much of them during my stay, which was a bit disappointing.

Rooms

My room was clean but had a dusty smell and lacked a proper toilet. It's decorated with a trendy vibe but felt a bit cramped. Cleanliness was good overall, but it wasn't up to par for a comfortable stay.
Service
5.0
The staff were friendly and responded quickly to my questions, but I felt a lack of presence since there was no one around to assist in person. It was more of a contactless experience with pin code access.

Kipps is in a prime spot, just five minutes from the sea and the city center, making it easy to explore all of Brighton's attractions. I loved how everything was within walking distance.

My stay at Kipps Brighton was a mixed experience. While the location was fantastic, allowing easy access to the city center and the sea front, I faced several issues with my room's cleanliness and overall comfort. However, the friendly staff and inviting communal lounge were definite highlights that gave the stay a bit of charm.

Rooms
5.0
I found my room to be quite disappointing. It had a strong smell of urine, which was quite off-putting. The hot water was either scalding or freezing, making showers a bit of a challenge. Also, the room lacked proper ventilation, making it uncomfortably warm at night. I wish I had known to avoid the double room with the shower.
Service
5.0
While I had a smooth check-in process, my interactions with the staff felt indifferent overall. There wasn't much help available when I needed assistance, which was frustrating. However, there was one employee I encountered who was genuinely helpful, which gave me a little relief during my stay.
Location
8.0
One of the best aspects of my stay was the location, right in the center of Brighton and close to both the sea front and parks. It was perfect for exploring the city without much hassle, although the noise from outside was noticeable. Luckily, earplugs were available for those sensitive to sound.
Dining
Facilities

The communal areas, including the lounge and outdoor terrace, were charming and inviting. I enjoyed the atmosphere there, and the frequent cleaning of shared facilities was reassuring, but the issues with the room really took away from my experience.
